Must be able to manage complex medical issues in highly uninsured, low-resource, populations. Ability and willingness to provide inpatient care is desired. Registered Dental Assistant (full-time)
Under the general supervision of a Dentist in a clinical setting, the Registered Dental Assistant assists the Dentist in the provision of high-quality care with the scope of service consistent with accepted standards of care for Registered Dental Assistants.
Some requirements include: preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies & equipment; prepares the operatory for the patient visit. Explains procedures to be performed to patient. Collects and records patient health histories. Prepares dental materials – cements, amalgrams, composites, impression materials, etc. Assists with dental charting as appropriate. Must be a team player, maintain patient confidentiality, and respond professionally to high-pressure situations and time limits.
