When did you start working for Christ Community?

October 2018

Why did you choose to join Christ Community?

The mission and vision of Christ Community resonate with me and what I believe God has called me to do. I believe that addressing biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual determinants of health is essential to care for people well and Christ Community provides a space for me to do that. Christ Community not only emphasizes whole-person care but also promotes care for the underserved. The Gospel calls us to minister to the least of these, those that society has overlooked and devalued. Christ Community provides a space where patients are treated with dignity and respect.

What is your favorite thing about your profession?

Being a behavioral health provider within the context of a primary care clinic allows me to function as a generalist helping patients with myriad needs that can vary from managing stress, promoting diet change, working on increasing healthy behaviors. Working with an interdisciplinary team is an additional joy of what I do. We realize that the best care is provided within the context of a team. Working with the medical providers, nurses, and medical assistants has been a great joy for me!

What is your favorite Bible verse?

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” -Hebrews 4:15

What is your favorite part about living in the CSRA?

My family and I enjoy walking around downtown, frequenting local restaurants and bookstores.

What is something we don’t know about you?

I am a Grateful Dead fan.
